Do I need to be at the unit?
No. Give us the facility, the unit number and the access code or gate details. We send photos when the unit is empty so you can close the account with confidence.
How much does it cost to clear a storage unit?
By volume. A 5x10 is usually well under a truckload. A 10x20 packed to the ceiling can be more than one. Photos get you a far more accurate number than a description.
Can you do it the same day I call?
Often, though it depends on the facility's access hours as much as our schedule. Some facilities restrict move-out times, so check yours.
Does anything get donated?
Yes, where it can be. Storage units are full of perfectly usable furniture and household goods, and that is a better outcome than a landfill.
What if I want to keep a few things?
Mark them or tell us which they are and we will set them aside. We can leave them at the unit or load them separately, whichever you prefer.
Can you clear a unit that has been auctioned or abandoned?
Yes, provided whoever is instructing us has the right to. We will need that confirmed by the facility or the lien holder before we touch anything.
Will you take business inventory and files?
Yes. If files need to be destroyed rather than dumped, tell us, because that needs a shredding service and we will point you to one rather than pretend otherwise.
Do you sweep the unit out?
Yes, broom-swept, which is what most facilities require before they will close your account without a cleaning fee.
